We are excited to invite you to a virtual panel discussion next week where we host 4 entrepreneurs who started their businesses and projects while studying at university!

 

Petros will share about how he started BeHive while studying at UIBE and how they built a community of 10000+ learners through offline/online training in China.

Corrine will talk about Social Responsibility Practitioners (SRP), a platform created by global youth who focus on social responsibility and United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

George will introduce THILLIANT – Mini Gap Academy, a social enterprise aiming at implementing Design Thinking to transform education process and helping to build students’ core competencies.

Carmelita will explain how she founded, Viva la Vida, a global community with influence in 50+ countries where people share their authentic stories through art, explore the purpose of life, and form genuine connections with others. Along with Tencent, they recently initiated the THINC, a 12-month fellowship program that brings together a community of 50 selected global young talents from around the world.

    Petros Djakouris

    Petros has worked in talent development, community building and Chinese digital marketing for the past five years. His training and marketing experience includes working with organizations such as LinkedIn, Peking University, and Confucius Institute at the University of Cyprus. He is co-founder at BeHive, an organization that bridges China with the rest of the world through employability training, job fairs and resource sharing, for international talent that wants to work or start a business in China. Petros is originally from Cyprus, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Nottingham University, and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

    Founder at SRP

    Rui (Corrine) Cui, founder of youth organization Social Responsibility Practitioners (SRP), now has been accepted to Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, Master of Public Administration (Concentration: Economic and Political Development), fellow of Horizon Global Youth Development Program Tsinghua University. She conducted field research related to Chinese NGOs in Myanmar, represented China to attend Asian Youth Forum in Philippines, attended summer and winter academic programs of political science and international relations at the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. SRP has organized various events with nearly 100 Chinese and international organizations, including the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community Shanghai, UNDP Movers, B Corps China. At the end of 2020, SRP’s Overseas Chinese Women Aid project has helped 37 victims in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France from Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and the United States, involving more than 150 volunteers from all over the world.

Viva la Vida is a global community with influence in 50+ countries where people share their authentic stories through art, explore the purpose of life, and form genuine connections with others.

    Founder & CEO at THILLIANT - Mini Gap Academy

    Zheng Dai graduated from Peking University majoring in Financial Mathematics and Philosophy and holds a Master’s in Global Affairs from Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University. He is passionate about education and social innovation. He is the founder of THILLIANT – Mini Gap Academy, a social enterprise aiming at implementing Design Thinking to transform education process and helping to build students’ core competencies. Stanford University named him a University Innovation Fellow for his efforts in promoting the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Peking University. He designed and lectured for Peking University’s ID Bootcamp (Mini Gap Year), Tsinghua University’s D.novation Series and many other project-based learning courses.
